1/2 C olive oil
2 lb round steak (get the good stuff), cut into thin strips
2 C MacLeod Merlot
2 C chopped onion
2 C sliced mushrooms
2 Tbl minced garlic
1 tsp Italian Seaoning
1 Tbl Basil, minced
1 1/2 C Sour Cream
Salt and pepper
1 lb pasta (your choice)
Saute and brown steak strips in olive oil
Add onions, garlic, mushrooms, Italian seasoning, basil to sauteed meat, stir until onions are tender
Add merlot and simmer for 1 hour or until sauce thickens, add water (more wine?) to thin if necessary
Stir in sour cream, simmering for about 10 minutes.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with cooked pasta of your choice.
